Definitions Of The KJVersion Bible Old Words

In the King James Version Bible, the one that is said to be the closest English translation from the original Hebrew(Old Testament) and Greek(New Testament) texts, and the Bible that I began my journey into the real world according to GOD. Has quite a few old world(1500-1800) words that were used. Simply because that was the way in which people of that time spoke and wrote. These words can form a barrier of understanding to some people today. So here are the definitions of those words, so that reading and understanding The KJV Bible is possible for them.

Word – Definiition – Usage

  1. Abated – Slowly reduced or Went away – ELOHIYM abated the flood for Noah.
  2. Art – Are – For thou art my hope, O Lord God:
  3. Asswage – Slowed or Ceased, Stopped – For Noah, GOD asswaged the Flood.
  4. Aught – Any or Anything – If thou sell aught unto thy neighbor,
  5. Bare/Bareth – Birthed or Take of ones burden – Bare a son. Bare someones bills.
  6. Bear – Stand as, or Withstand – Don’t bear false witness. I can’t bear.
  7. Begat – Cause the birth of, to father – GOD begat JESUS. A’Dam begat Cain
  8. Beguiled – Deceived – Eve said, the serpent beguiled me.
  9. Behold – See, take notice – Behold I will do a new thing.
  10. Bow – Rainbow – I do set my bow in the cloud.
  11. Brethren – Brothers under GOD – Brethren, be not weary in well doing.
  12. Bring Forth – Deliver, to cause – They shall bring forth fruit in old age.
  13. Builded – Built – Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
  14. Canst – Can’t or Can not – Canst thou by searching find out God
  15. Causeth – Causes – He that winketh causeth sorrow.
  16. Charity – Love – Faith, hope, charity,  the greatest of these is charity.
  17. Cherubim – Plural for Cherub, Praise Angel – The cherubims did lift up their wings.

  81. Righteous – Knowing, believing and doing the will/WORD of YAHUAH/THE CREATOR
  82. Salvation – Saving Power – I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD
  83. Savior – YAHUSHA/JESUS, One who saves – Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
